Millions of Africans suffer from AIDS; very few of them have access to the drugs necessary to keep them healthy and to prevent the virus from spreading to their children. The Community of Sant'Egidio's Project DREAM aims to provide treatment to those who would otherwise have no hope. The project started in Mozambique, a country with which the Community has a close relationship, and is now being implemented in a number of other sub-Saharan nations.
