THE BOSTON COMMUNITY

Janet holding a poster commemorating the peace agreement in Mozambique The Community has had a presence in Boston since the fall of 1998, when a group of Boston College students started praying together. The Community now serves the elderly in friendship at a low-income housing complex on Fidelis Way, at Vernon Hall Nursing Home in Cambridge, and at Presentation Manor Nursing Home in Brighton. The Community also serves a group of children through its School of Peace in Jamaica Plain.

The Archdiocese of Boston's newspaper, The Pilot, has published two articles on the Community.

April 21, 2013 7:00pm	Evening Prayer for Peace and the Victims of Violence School of Theology and Ministry Chapel, Boston College
After the explosions at the Boston Marathon and the subsequent violence, we will hold a prayer to remember the victims of this violence and to pray for peace in our city. All are invited.
