Christmas 2015

The Christmas Lunch with the poor is a tradition of the Community of Sant’Egidio since  1982 when  a small group of poor people was invited to join the the banquet table in the Basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere, Rome.

Now, around the world, the Christmas banquet with the poor is a cherished moment of the Community of Sant’ Egidio. In different cities throughout the United States we will bring together our friends whether they be elderly from nursing homes, those living on the streets, or children in the School of Peace. During this generous time of giving and sharing, we invite you to help us prepare for this banquet.

Help us celebrate a joyful Christmas for all!
