On January 1, the cry “Peace in all Lands” rose from many parts of the world.
Peace in all lands: this is the invocation that resounded in different languages and places, in the events organized by the Communities of Sant’Egidio almost everywhere: in large European cities, in Africa, in Asia, in America, to start the new year with a strong invocation so that violence and wars stop and ways to peace are sought.
The wide participation in these events shows once again that there is a widespread desire for peace, too often unheeded.
We pray for an end to war in all lands and for a year of peace and joy for all!
