Christmas 2019

Help us celebrate a joyful Christmas for all!

Boston Christmas Lunch 2013

The Christmas Lunch with the poor has been a tradition of the Community of Sant’Egidio since 1982, when  a small group of poor people was invited to join the the banquet table in the Basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere, Rome.

Now, around the world, the Christmas banquet with the poor is a cherished moment of the Community of Sant’ Egidio. In different cities throughout the United States we will bring together our friends whether they be elderly from nursing homes, those living on the streets, or children in the School of Peace. During this generous time of giving and sharing, we invite you to help us prepare for this banquet.

In New York, our lunch will be held on Christmas Day at St. Vartan’s Armenian Cathedral, 630 Second Ave. If you would like to donate monetarily, please click here. If you would like to donate some gifts, please use our wishlist, here
