Summer has started in New York and we are so thrilled to find occasions to be together.
We had our yearly outing and picnic with our Homeless brothers and sisters – this year going to the Cloisters. We enjoyed a morning of learning of the rich history of the Cloisters as well enjoying the beautiful art. Following our visit, we had a wonderful picnic in Fort Tryon park, gathered around good food and the joy of being together. It was an exceptional Saturday, doing ordinary activities together as families and friends do.
We have also launched our Summer Program for the School of Peace. Summer is a special time for us at the School of Peace. As we do every week, it is a chance to be and grow together. Except the summer brings with it unique opportunities to spend full days together and explore the city. From Orchard beach to farms upstate, we like to see and do something new each week. We look forward to many more trips together, including our much loved weekend away together, which for many children is their first time away from the Bronx and is always a highlight for children and adults.
