School of Peace
Schools of Peace are completely free programs, built on a familial environment. Members of the Community of Sant’Egidio offer academic support, arts and crafts, intentional learning, and, most importantly, the building of a culture of peace to children aged 5-13. The School of Peace encourages integration into school and provides concrete support to families, while offering a model of education open to all, sympathetic to the less fortunate and overcoming barriers and discriminations.
Timing of each School of Peace varies from city to city. However, wherever they meet, Schools of Peace make sure to foster a lively and open-minded environment. Day trips, celebrations, excursions and summer outings are an integral part.
Tutoring
We try to pair children with one-on-one tutoring based on every child’s needs and circumstances. Children meet in person and online as necessary to make sure they are receiving the academic support and attention they need. We also work to support parents in their relationships with teachers and curriculum planning.
