On Saturday March 24th, members of the Community of Sant’Egidio in Washington DC and Boston joined the hundreds of thousands of Americans who marched to protest gun violence. The event was organized by a group of students from Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida, the site of the most recent school shooting in the United States, and gathered people from different backgrounds from all over the nation. From young to old, everyone stood as one, fighting for gun reform.
The Community of Sant’Egidio stands with the victims of gun violence and is actively trying to promote gun violence reform around the country with it’s platform Solidarity for Life – No to Violent Deaths.
