Still in the difficulties of the pandemic the Community of Sant’Egidio in New York City has gathered with our friends in the street to celebrate the feast of Thanksgiving.
As we have been inviting and preparing for several weeks, many friends were waiting for us in anticipation of the celebration. We enjoyed sharing the traditional meal of Turkey and Pumpkin Pie, generously provided by the Church of the Epiphany, as well as exchanging moments of friendship.
It was a beautiful moment together with many people who came to help and more than two hundred people that we serve. We do not want to leave anyone alone especially during the holiday season, and once more we realize that together is better and more joyful.
