A weekend away with our unhoused friends and the children of the School of Peace
It is never too late for a vacation together! Everyone remembered the vacation in 2019 before the pandemic and finally with some of our unhoused friends and some children of the School of Peace we went to Warwick, upstate New York, to spend three days together. It was good to be together coming from every possible background and experiencing again the beauty of being together.
Time flew between walks in the woods, apple-picking, and campfire. The occasion of friendship and encounter were many; we also remembered the thirty years of peace in Mozambique and prayed for Ukraine and all countries at war with the Community.
“We hope to do it again next year,” someone said, “and with more friends!”
