Cities for Life in Brooklyn, NY,

All around the world, cities will commemorate the anniversary of the first abolition of the death penalty.

On November 5, the Community co-hosted a talk for Cities for Life in Brooklyn, NY. Many people gathered in the Church of St Boniface in Brooklyn to listen to the testimony of Ron McAndrew, “From Warden to Abolitionist.” His words showed that even a person who supervised the execution of some prisoners can change once he realizes the humanity of prisoners. Also from Ron came an encouragement to continue the campaign: also in the United States the death penalty will be abolished.
