Thanksgiving of Mercy in NYC
On the occasion of Thanksgiving several friends of the Community met for an intergenerational and international dinner (12 nationalities) : many homeless friends, children and elderly friends at the same table in a large and welcoming family; with us several university students help and enjoyed a festive atmosphere.
The community of Sant’Egidio New York hosted a Thanksgiving Day lunch with friends from the street and Families from the School of peace. Coming together in one sitting, a total of 23 languages spoken and many more thanks given in the wonderfully shared moment.
